Welcome to Bexley Tigers Basketball Club!

Founded in 2021, Bexley Tigers Basketball Club has quickly become a cornerstone of the basketball community in the London Borough of Bexley. Initially competing in Division 3 of the Medway Basketball Association as the Kent Tigers, the club set a high standard from the start, clinching the league title in its inaugural season and winning the prestigious Nobby Crouch Plate with an impressive 93-41 victory over Iroquois.

Our journey began with a vision: to create a complete player pathway that combines grassroots development with opportunities for elite performance. From day one, we have focused on fostering community engagement while delivering structured basketball programs that cater to all ability levels.

In 2022, we expanded our reach by launching a juniors program for boys and girls aged 10 to 18. This program provides structured training and competitive opportunities, ensuring that young athletes have a clear pathway to develop their skills and achieve their potential. The same year, we became founding members of the Kent County Junior Basketball League (KCjBL), offering juniors across Kent access to high-quality central venue basketball competitions.

Our commitment to holistic basketball development doesn’t stop with our youth players. Through our partnership with Little Hoopers, we provide basketball programs tailored for children as young as three years old. This child-friendly initiative introduces toddlers and preschoolers to the fundamentals of basketball in a safe, fun, and educational environment, laying the foundation for lifelong engagement with the sport.

In 2024, we launched the Bexley Basketball School League, offering primary and secondary schools in the borough a structured basketball competition, further strengthening the connection between basketball and education in the community.

Bexley Tigers is proud to partner with schools and community organisations across the London Borough of Bexley, supporting the grassroots development of basketball in the region. Our dedication to excellence was recognised in 2022 when we were awarded the Basketball England South East Community Club of the Year.
